The Police – Around the World: Restored & Expanded (Limited Edition 12-Inch Album on Gold Vinyl with DVD)
The Police’s first world tour in 1979 and 1980 was a pivotal moment in their career, documenting their rapid ascent from new wave pioneers to global superstars. This live album and accompanying documentary film capture that tour.
Follow the band’s journey as they visit six continents, building their fanbase show-by-show, country-by-country, song-by-song.
Drawing on gigs in Kyoto, London and Hong Kong, the nine-track album spotlights cuts from their first two albums. Featured tracks include Walking on the Moon, So Lonely, Can’t Stand Losing You, Roxanne, Message in a Bottle, Bring on the Night and more.
Additionally, this release comes with a DVD including a documentary film. In between the performances, the film offers a jovial glimpse of the band as they travel around the world and their visits to local sights. The documentary is presented with restored picture and remastered audio, and includes complete performances of four songs as bonus features.
