Guns N’ Roses – Live in New York City, 1988 (Limited Edition 12-Inch Picture Disc)

Guns N’ Roses – Live in New York City, 1988 (Limited Edition 12-Inch Picture Disc)

This album showcases Guns N’ Roses’ legendary gig at The Ritz, in New York, on 2 February 1988.

Featured, are many of the band’s most iconic songs such as Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child o’ Mine, Mr. Brownstone, Rocket Queen and more.

Guns N’ Roses landmark debut album Appetite for Destruction was released on 21 July 1987. The album went on to sell 30 million copies worldwide, making it the best selling debut album ever. Appetite for Destruction charted the blueprint for a new generation of rock and remains as one of the most influential albums of all time.

However, despite the album’s now legendary status, it wasn’t an immediate hit – it took about two years following its release for Appetite for Destruction to top the charts.

When Guns N’ Roses took the stage at The Ritz in February 1988, they were still a band with something to prove. Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven promptly blew the audience away with a blistering performance that was equally intimate and explosive.
